Everton are currently in an absolutely distraught position in both the domestic as well as the European competitions, having faced a number of defeats this season so far. The Merseyside club is presently standing on the 16th position in the league table and is looking to carve a way out to escape possible relegation, which might never be too early to say.
The Toffees are now looking desperate to turn things around in the near future and revive their position. Manager Ronald Koeman is also in the line of fire and might face the sack in the forthcoming days in case the Merseyside club finds a good replacement for the Dutchman.
There is a chance that Everton might bring in someone new to take charge of their side and one option is Paulo Fonseca, who is currently the in charge of Ukranian club Shakhtar Donetsk. The Portuguese manager is one of the highly regarded managers in Europe and is currently tipped to come to the Premier League after leading his current club to a domestic treble in the last term.
Reportedly, Fonseca has also made it clear that he is interested to manage a Premier League outfit in the near future. His wish might be fulfilled very soon, if the Merseyside club look to replace their present manager Ronald Koeman with the Portuguese tactician.
Everton are currently in absolute disarray over their future in top-flight football and are trying their level best to make results turn in their favour. Eight matches down the line, the Toffees have met nothing but disappointment so far, with only two wins in their bag this season and might look for some major revamping in the near future.
Under their new stakeholder Farhad Moshiri, the Merseyside club shelled out a lot of money in during the summer transfer window and brought in a number of new players into the side to give it a good shape to achieve some significant results in the Premier League as well as Europa League.
However, their investments have failed to show any result so far this season and the Toffees might be compelled to make some more changes to their side.
Fonseca was one of the candidates considered by the Premier League club after they sacked their former boss Roberto Martinez. However, with the situation going from bad to worse for the Toffees, there is a chance that they might reignite their interest in the Portuguese gaffer to replace Koeman as their manager.
But do you think Koeman deserves more time?
