Liverpool started their campaign this season on a good note and won two of their first three matches in the Premier League with ease. However, things went a bit wayward for the Reds since then and they are now trailing to the other big-name clubs in the competition, getting beaten prolifically by arch-rivals Manchester City in their fourth match of the season and then drawing matches with sides like Burnley and Newcastle United.
Gaffer Jurgen Klopp is wary about the team composition and is eyeing new combinations every week to keep his options open. One player, who has been in and out of the team quite often this season owing to the experimental nature of the German manager, is Emre Can.
The German midfielder, however, has dished out good performances whenever the chance has fallen to him and has proved himself as an important part of the Liverpool side in crucial encounters. This might be a very good news for the Reds, who might look to offer Can a more important role in the side in the future and stabilise their midfield to the core.
The Reds are well aware of how vital a player like Can might turn out for them in the long run. His biggest strength is his versatility, as the player can be seen taking part in the attack as well as vying for ball possession in the middle of the pitch. He can also chip in with important goals from a variety of ranges and can also turn out to be their saviour on the day when the other weapons in their arsenal tend to misfire.
