Everton will be taking a huge sigh of relief having won their last match against Bournemouth, with their ranked outcast Oumar Niasse coming off the bench to score twice for the Toffees and bring them back into the game, handing them only their second win of the season so far.
The Merseyside club broke the bank this season, having brought in nine new players in the summer transfer window to revamp their side and compete for a place in the top four. However, the new players have not been able to demonstrate their best form, which has hampered their club’s progress in the Premier League so far, leading them to end up in the dreaded relegation zone in the very early days of the season.
However, the Toffees are now looking for reshaping their future for the rest of the season and are looking to add some firepower to their strike force, which has not been working as expected this season so far. The man in charge at Goodison Park, Ronald Koeman, has a number of players in his sight with the name of the Norway international Joshua King right on top of his target list.
The 25-year-old has been one of the stars of the show for his side Bournemouth since his arrival at the club in 2015 and has scored crucial goals to give his side an advantage.
He was one of the major influences in the last term for their ninth-place finish in the Premier League table and has already started his job of scoring against his rivals with a long-range screamer that gave his side the lead in their last match against Everton before Niasse came on to steal the show and win it, with a brace.
The Cherries are looking in complete disarray at the current moment and have been only able to score twice throughout the season so far. However, that has not made their star man Joshua King’s demand go down by any means, with a number of clubs looking to secure his signature in the next transfer window that commences in January next year.
The Norwegian international has played for an array of clubs in the Premier League, with 77 appearances for his present club Bournemouth so far. He has scored 24 goals for them, which has made him a potential candidate for the Toffees next summer and help them get to a comfortable position in the Premier League this season.
