Newly promoted Premier League outfit Huddersfield Town have had a spectacular start to their season in the English top division, as they have collected eight points from their first five games and are currently placed 6th in the league table. On Tuesday, they will be hosted by Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park for the League Cup fixture.
Roy Hodgson’s side have had a dismal start to their season, as they are placed rock-bottom in the league table with not a single point to show. It would be an important fixture for Terries and this is how they are expected to line up.
Defence
Huddersfield Town are expected to field a strong side and between the sticks, we expect Jonas Lossl to start. Lossl has been exceptional so far this season with the gloves and Wagner is expected to continue with him as his side’s custodian.
From the right-back slot, we expect Tom Smith to be given the nod to start as his industry down the right should cause a lot of trouble to the home side. Similarly, on the left-back position, Chris Lowe is likely to be given the nod by Wagner to start the proceedings.
At the heart of Huddersfield Town’s defence, Christopher Schindler and Zanka are likely to be teed up to construct a four-man defensive wall. These two would have the responsibility of playing the ball out from the back and to shield Lossl in a resilient fashion.
Midfield
Jonathan Hogg is expected to make his first start of the season after recovering from his ankle injury and should be engineered in the middle of the pair. To partner him, Aaron Mooy should be started in order to ensure that the backline is adequately cushioned and there are adequate offensive endeavours against the Eagles.
Abdelhamid Sabiri is anticipated to be chalked into the no.10 role in order to tear Crystal Palace’s defence apart with his vision and appealing passes. He has to garner the adequate amount of chances as well.
Attack
Laurent Depoitre should be spearheading Town’s attacking arsenal and without any shadow of a doubt, it would be an excellent opportunity for him to up the ante and bag a goal or two under his belt.
On the left wing, Tom Ince is seemingly likely to be fitted whereas, on the right wing, Elias Kachunga should be used. They have to stretch the opposition’s defence and let the midfielders get into the scheme of things in the final third.
