Manchester City are looking forward to carrying their brilliant form in the Premier League into their next match against Watford at Vicarage Road in the forthcoming weekend and get another three points in their bag. However, they will have to deal with a pretty tough opponent in the form of the Hornets, who are also fresh from a win in their last match against Southampton by 2-0.
The Citizens showed their class in the last match against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium, having beaten them by 5-0, leaving them with no clue at all as to how to stop the charged up attackers. They will like to show the same form when they come into the match against the Hornets in the next encounter and will like to add to their points, which will be taking them to the top of the league table as well, pushing their derby rivals Manchester United to the second place.
However, it will not be an easy task for the Citizens, who will be up against a Watford side who are so far unbeaten in the Premier League. Their new manager Marco Silva will also be looking to achieve a substantial result by shocking one of the biggies of English as well as European football in the form of Manchester City and will look to do whatever is needed to attain the shock result.
Defence-
The City defence was top class in their last match against Liverpool and they will look to repeat the same form as they go into the match against the Hornets. They will probably start with their goalkeeper Claudio Bravo after Ederson was severely injured in the last match in a clash with the Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane.
The backline consisting of Danilo, Nicolas Otamendi, John Stones will look to keep the Watford attackers at bay once again and make it another clean sheet.
Midfield-
The midfield performed exceedingly well for the Citizens in their last match against Liverpool. With Kyle Walker and Leroy Sane running down the flanks and getting the ball into the attacking third, it spelt devastation for the Reds. They were duly supported by Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva and also by Fernandinho, who played as a defensive screen before the backline and will look to do the same against the Hornets.
Attack-
Both Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero will look to repeat their goal scoring acts in the next match as well, as they did score in their last match against Liverpool and add to their goal tally.
Predicted Lineup-
Bravo, Danilo, Otamendi, Stones, Fernandinho, Walker, De Bruyne, Silva, Sane, Jesus, Aguero.
