Crystal Palace has sacked Frank De Boer in a shocking decision earlier today, as the Dutch manager has been facing nothing other than defeats in his very first season in the Premier League in charge of the Eagles. The decision has been termed as a logical one by many Palace fans as De Boer was not able to hand them a victory, with his side conceding seven goals so far and scoring none in reply throughout the first four matches of the season.
However, a number of experts have termed the sacking as a “hasty” one and are of the opinion that the Dutchman should have been given some more time as the manager of the South London club, this being his first ever stint as a head coach in Premier League. It’s true that the team was not responding to his ways of coaching but he could have been granted some more time as the man in charge at Selhurst Park.
Palace chairman Steve Parish, who tweeted his apparent support for De Boer yesterday after the embarrassing loss faced by his side at the hands of Burnley at Turf Moor, went on to sack the manager the very next day. Speculations are rife that the former Inter Milan coach, who now holds the record for the shortest stay in the Premier League as the manager of a club, might be replaced by the former Liverpool and England boss Roy Hodgson.
Some sense!
We are 4 games in, it’s a terrible start but we have to stick together. https://t.co/A8Zu5APcjg

De Boer spent just 77 days at the South London club, having been brought into the side this summer after their former coach Sam Allardyce parted ways with the club. He spent most of his time managing the youth and later on the senior sides of the Dutch Eredivisie club Ajax before moving to the Serie A, having taken on the responsibility of coaching the Italian giants Inter Milan. However, he was not able to handle the team well at the San Siro and eventually lost his job in 2016.
With their coach being sacked after spending only 77 days in charge of the team, the Crystal Palace supporters are looking to let the world know about their how they feel regarding the untimely sacking of the Dutch manager, with their reactions pouring into Twitter. While some of them are looking to term this as a just decision, a few are also voicing their protest against the shocking incident, calling out for some more time to be given to De Boer by the Eagles’ management.
Here are few of the tweets debating the entire situation-
I do not agree with FDB being sacked but I do think a manager like Woy is exactly what we need. We’ve come back from worse #Cpfcfamily #CPFC
