Championship outfit Leeds United would be raring to ply their trade once again after the international break owing to the manner in which they have carved commendable results so far in the English second division.
The Whites have collected 11 points from their first 5 league outings and having squandered their chances of earning a playoff spot last season, they would be eager to make full use of the pedestal they created under Garry Monk and impose themselves as a serious contender for promotion this term.
Thomas Christiansen’s men are due to lock horns against Burton Albion this weekend at the Elland Road. The Brewers have had a dismal start to their new campaign as they have managed to secure merely 5 points from their 5 games so far. However, Christiansen would not be complacent and is likely to put forth a strong side.
The Yorkshire based outfit have made some decent signings during the summer transfer window, with notable names like Samu Saiz, Ezgjan Alioski, Mateusz Klich and Hadi Sacko. They do have a decent side and here is our Leeds United predicted line-up to face Burton Albion.
Defence
Felix Wiedwald should be handed yet another start as he has a good start of life on the English soil as he has managed to register 4 clean sheets in 5 league games. Liam Cooper and Pontus Jannson have been exceptional so far at the heart of the defence of the Peacocks and should be given the nod to start.
On the right-back position, we expect Luke Ayling to be stationed owing to the consistency he has shown so far, whereas on from the left-back slot, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is anticipated to be used. They do have a strong defence and most importantly, their defenders are performing to their utmost potential.
Midfield
Eunan O’Kane is currently being nursed due to his groin injury which implies that Klich and Kalvin Phillips might be handed their positions in the middle of the park. Saiz is expected to start behind the striker.
Attack
Right up front, Kemar Roofe deserves a start to spearhead Leeds United’s attack. On the left-wing, Pablo Hernandez is all set to be used as his attack and vision really troubles the defenders of the opposition, whereas Alioski’s attacking prowess is unlikely to be benched by the former APOEL manager as he has been a major threat to the opposition so far from the right flank.
