Manchester United will be playing their fourth match in the campaign and will look to make it another win after they notched up three victories in a row to show for their effort so far in the Premier League this season. This time they will be facing Stoke City who are fresh from a hard fought draw against West Bromwich Albion.
The Potters had a mixed start to their season in the Premier League, having lost one, won one and drawn one of their last three matches in the present campaign. Their best result of the campaign so far came in their clash against Arsenal, where they won by a solo goal scored by their new recruit Jese Rodriguez, who came in from French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain on loan.
Their next encounter is promising to be an enthralling one, which might see good resistance from Stoke City players to keep the Manchester United at bay and contain them from scoring big. They will have to think of new ideas and will be dependent on some of their star players to give them that much-needed impetus to come out on top of the Red Devils, who are looking in ominous form so far this season.
Three players who will have to stand up for Stoke City if they need to win against Manchester United are-
Jese Rodriguez-
The Spaniard spent a disappointing season at the Parc des Princes in the last term and was pushed down the pecking order by the team management. He showed his class in the very first match and scored the goal which determined the fate of their match against Arsenal and brought them three valuable points. Mark Hughes will expect him to fire once again and help them to a shock win against Manchester United.
Peter Crouch-
The veteran striker came off the bench to score the goal and break the deadlock against a resilient West Bromwich Albion side recently. They will also need him to fire in their match against the Red Devils, but he might not be included in the starting eleven. Mark Hughes is a believer of youth power and has players like Eric Choupo Moting and Jese Rodriguez at his disposal, making it even more difficult for the veteran Englishman to find a place in the starting lineup.
Jack Butland-
The English goalkeeper will be kept on his feet throughout this match against Manchester United, who have the league’s top scorer Romelu Lukaku at their disposal. The young shot stopper played a very important role in their victory over Arsenal and will have to perform even better to keep players like Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford at bay.
