Tottenham Hotspur have faced disappointment in their last two matches in the Premier League, having lost to Chelsea in a hard fought affair by 2-1 and drawing against Burnley in their last match, with New Zealand ace Chris Wood scoring for his new club on his debut right before the final whistle. However, Spurs are looking to get their campaign back on track and make it another good season just like the last term, which saw them finish in the 2nd position in the league table.
They will next be facing Everton, with the Toffees having an almost identical result like them when it comes to results. Spurs will look to restore their confidence with a win but they are sure to face some tough competition from their next opponents, making it an intriguing contest, to say the least. However, they will have to do without one of their mainstays in defence in the form of left back Danny Rose, as the player is still recovering from a prolonged injury.
Here is the predicted lineup for the visitors for this tie:
Defence-
Kieran Trippier, the new first choice right back will be looking to start another game for the Spurs. He will be joined by the Belgian pair of central defenders, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld, who have been the rocks of the backline for the North London club for quite some time. As their first choice left back Danny Rose is not present due to a notorious injury problem, the responsibility to handle the left flank properly will be on his compatriot full back, Ben Davies.
Midfield-
The Tottenham midfield consists of some of the best enforcers in the game including the likes of Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier. However, the two have not been able to make a good impression in the last two matches for their side, not being able to contain the opposition players from getting into their box and scoring goals.
The attacking midfielders in the form of Heung Min Son, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli have been looking good so far this season and will look to make it another win for their team in the next match.
Attack-
The Spurs attack is spearheaded by none other than the Golden Boot winner from the last two seasons, Harry Kane, and they can expect him to come out all guns blazing, as after the last three matches, the English marksman has not been able to bag a single goal.
Predicted Lineup-
Lloris, Trippier, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Son, Alli, Eriksen, Kane.
