So far this season in the English second division, the Wolves have been pretty productive, having accumulated 10 points from their first 5 league outings. Under the stewardship of Nuno Espirito Santo, Wolverhampton Wanderers have lured some quality names to the Molineux Stadium, like Ruben Neves, Roderick Miranda, Barry Douglas and Ryan Bennett being notable figures to make a move. Espirito Santo is still keen to bolster his arsenal and thus, his apparent inclination to sign Aboubakar makes perfect sense.
The attacker emerged through the youth ranks of Coton Sport, before being promoted to their senior side. Then he made moves to Valenciennes, Lorient and eventually to the ranks of the Blue and White. However, his controversial loan move to Besiktas last season saw him banging goals on a regular basis and no wonder his stocks are at an all-time high. This season, he has started well with Porto, scoring 4 goals in as many games for the Portuguese outfit. So, what will he offer to Wolves?
Aboubakar possesses a daunting figure and has raw pace in his boots to breeze past defenders with relative ease. He is a very versatile offensive player as he is efficient of plying his trade as a striker as well as a winger. The 25-year-old is a clinical poacher inside the box, offers a bit of trickery time and again and is very sound in the air, and with the experience, he has piled under his belt, he would be a solid addition to the ranks of the Wanderers.
Owing to a good start to the new campaign, Aboubakar is now deemed as a valuable asset for Porto at this stroke of hour. He is a technically sound attacker and considering the calibre he possesses, he has developed a prolific goal getting attribute and can link-up with his teammates meticulously up front. Wolves should be looking to make a push for promotion after having cultivated a decent start and someone like Aboubakar will certainly enhance their chances.
