Hull City have started their new campaign in the Championship in a mixed fashion having lost two of their first five matches while drawing one and winning the other two. Their last win was a dominating performance against new entrants Bolton Wanderers, who got promoted from League One at the end of the last season, demolishing them by 4-0.
With their attackers playing to the best of their abilities, the Tigers are currently looking to add to their strike force and are looking to bring in players who can help them get more similar results for their club as their last one. They have their eyes on the African striker Ahmed Musa, who is currently playing for the Premier League club Leicester City.
The Nigerian international arrived at the King Power Stadium last summer, having been brought in from the Russian side CSKA Moscow. The player has, however, not been able to perform as he would have liked to so far in the Premier League and might be on his way to leave the club in the next 48 hours.
It will be a reunion for the former colleagues from the Russian outfit if the deal finally materialises, as the Nigerian striker will have a chance to play under his former coach Leonid Slutsky, who took the charge of the Championship club this summer after the departure of their former coach Marco Silva.
The player has been one of the best strikers in the history of the Russian club and had a successful four-year spell before moving to England, scoring 54 goals in 168 matches for his club. However, the journey has not been that much good so far for the 24-year-old in the Premier League, with the striker being able to score only five goals so far in 33 appearances for the Foxes.
The Nigerian marksman is known for his brisk pace along with an ability to shoot the ball pretty accurately, making it possible to reach the back of the net with absolute precision. The player also has the immense physicality to go with his swift footwork, which helps him to fend off the opponents.
Slutsky, the new manager in charge of the Tigers is looking to increase their attacking intent this season and a player like Ahmed Musa can perfectly fit into his plans for the new season. The Russian tactician is well aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the player and can utilize him in the right way to make it a good season for his new club.
