Manchester United have cemented a place at the top of the points table as they remain the only team to win three out of three games so far this season in the Premier League. The Red Devils have added the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic, both of who have already made an impact in the first team this season.
Defender Victor Lindelof is also expected to play a role later in the season but Jose Mourinho is not happy with the squad at his disposal yet and is looking to add further quality to his first team before the deadline day. This has seen him scout for some of the finest stars in Europe and here are three big money players they may yet end up signing, before the deadline day:
Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal):
The Chilean winger is easily one of the most creative players in Europe at the moment and has been in fine form for Arsenal for more than two seasons now. However, the lack of progress at the Emirates has seen him decide to quit the club this summer as he is now actively looking for a way out. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are desperate for his signature but Manchester United are also interested and if they can sign him up, United will be one of the top contenders for the title this season.
Gareth Bale (Real Madrid):
One player extensively linked with a move to Old Trafford, not just this summer but even in the past is Welsh winger Gareth Bale. Standing as one of the best wingers in Europe at the moment, Bale is slowly falling down the pecking order at the Bernabeu and is looking for an exit for some regular game time.
Manchester United are a bit light in the attacking unit of the squad and adding Bale will instantly make it stronger. His previous experience in England will also go a long way in helping the Red Devils back to their previous best.
Thomas Lemar (AS Monaco):
The French youngster is one of the most-wanted players in the transfer market at the moment and though French champions Monaco are reluctant to sell, there is too much interest in his services for them to be able to keep him for another season. Arch rivals Liverpool have failed with a bid this week and if United manage to land him, it will be a double blow for the Reds, who already look a strong outfit.
