Liverpool are currently flying high in the Premier League, with their attackers in devastating form, helping them to bring down Arsenal like a pack of cards in the last week, as they won the contest by 4-0. Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah all added to their goal tally, while Daniel Sturridge came off the bench to score his first goal of the season.
The Reds have struck a fine tune when it comes to the composition of their attacking lineup, with all their players looking in fine form. Apart from the above mentioned four players, German midfielder Emre Can looks to be in good form and has been displaying some brilliant skills in the middle of the field for the Merseyside club.
However, Jurgen Klopp, the present manager of the Reds, is looking to add to the firepower of his side further this summer and is eyeing one of the most highly regarded attacking midfielders in the current scenario in the form of Mateo Kovacic, who is currently playing for Real Madrid.
The Croatian ace, who is known for his dazzling runs into the heart of the opposition defence and his brilliant free kicks to get the goals for his side, has been a subject of interest for a number of clubs from all over Europe, including the Premier League club Liverpool, who are intending to pillage the rival teams with their “gegenpressing” attack this term.
The 23-year-old has, however, found it difficult to have a regular place in the starting lineup since his arrival at the club in 2015. This has made the player disappointed with the bits and pieces role that he has been handed so far by the Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane and has made him look for a move out of Santiago Bernabeu to a club where he can get regular starts.
Known for his swift footwork and shot making ability from distance, the Croatian attacker can bring variety to the attack for Liverpool in the following days, in case they make a move for the player in the next couple of days. His ability to head the ball into the back of the net while vying with the defenders in aerial duels can give an added advantage to the Reds as well.
Liverpool have won their last two matches in the Premier League with supreme domination over arch rivals Crystal Palace and Arsenal and are looking to extend their unbeaten run in the following days as well. Hopefully, the inclusion of a player like Kovacic will surely help them to achieve their much-desired goal.
