Barcelona have started their season in the Spanish La Liga with back to back wins over Real Betis and Deportivo Alaves on consecutive weekends, which comes as a relief after the last few months that saw the Catalan giants facing a number of obstacles in various areas, including the departure of their Brazilian superstar Neymar for a world record transfer fee to join former French champions Paris Saint Germain.
The former Spanish La Liga champions, who got beaten all ends up at the hands of their arch rivals Real Madrid in consecutive matches of the Spanish Super Cup a couple of weeks ago, have seemingly found their way back into the right direction after the wins in their first two matches. However, they are well aware of the fact that they have to cope with a lot more in the forthcoming months and are looking to prepare well to face the challenges of the new season.
The first priority that lies with the Blaugrana is to get a viable replacement for Neymar and they have already brought in a brilliantly talented player in the form of Ousmane Dembele from the German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund to participate in their attack alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez and are eyeing a few more players to be included to the side before the closure of the summer transfer window. Three such players are-
Marco Verratti-
The Italian midfielder was linked with the Catalan giants and was almost sure to make a move to Nou Camp in the summer. However, the departure of Neymar has somewhat stalled the deal, but there might be a possibility for the Spanish giants to reinstate their interest in the player, who is being eyed by a number of experts as a perfect replacement for the veteran midfield maestro Andreas Iniesta.
Dele Alli-
The Englishman has been one of the most important players for his National as well as club side for quite some time now and has proved his worth as one of the best attackers in the present scenario over the last couple of seasons. The inclusion of such a player can make the Barcelona strike force arguably the best in the world.
Phillipe Coutinho-
The Liverpool talismanic looked the closest to join the Blaugrana in the summer, but the deal has not yet been cracked due to the Reds rejecting all the bids that have been made by the Spanish club so far this summer. However, Barcelona is not looking to give up on their desired target until the transfer window is closed.
