West Bromwich Albion are looking desperate to reshape their attack for the forthcoming matches and are looking forward to bringing some new players from all around Europe to add to their roster. The Baggies have scored only two goals so far, with their strong defence playing the main role in both their wins in the Premier League this season.
The man in charge at the Hawthorns, Tony Pulis, is eyeing a number of players and is looking to bring in a new striker who can spearhead his side’s attack with absolute precision. One of these players is the Brazilian ace Josef de Souza, who is currently playing for the Turkish club Fenerbahce and has been in good form of late. Reports from the Sky claim that the Baggies are ready to make a £10m bid for his services before the deadline day.
The 28-year-old has been one of the mainstays in attack for the Super Lig club and has been associated with them since 2015. He has made 97 appearances so far for his current club and has been one of the most highly rated players for his team over the years.
He has been praised for his ability to play a key figure in turning a number of matches on their heads for his side and has contributed significantly for the former Turkish champions in recent times.
Known for his brisk pace and swift footwork, Souza can be quite lethal with his darting runs into the heart of the defence with and without the ball. He can play on the wings as well and create opportunities for his teammates, keeping his team in advantage. His abilities to unleash dangerous shots from the distance as well as from close range are good enough to create problems for the opposition goalkeeper.
Apart from the above-mentioned skills, the Brazilian ace can also be lethal from set piece situations, as he has mastered the art of finding the back of the net from free kicks. He can also cause damage with his head and is quite strong in the air.
With just a few more days left in the summer transfer window for the season, the Baggies are looking to make them count and are on their way to bag a few players whom they consider important for the new season.
The 28-year-old Brazilian striker’s inclusion in the team is right now a priority for Tony Pulis in order to strengthen the attack of his side and score more goals but is he the right option.
