After getting promoted, Huddersfield Town have started their Premier League season in a very productive manner under the tutelage of David Wagner.
They were the outright underdogs and were the favourites for the drop before the season started but the summer signings and the fearless nature of their play have resulted in a positive start and they are starting to feel slightly more at home now.
Wagner has been a determined manager over the course of the summer transfer window as he has been thoroughly busy in his aspirations of constructing a strong side to face the animosity which awaits them.
They have splashed the cash upon some quality players like Aaron Mooy, Steve Mounie, Tom Ince, Elias Kachunga and Scott Malone to name a few and have recently concluded the signing of Florent Hadergjonaj from FC Ingolstadt 04 on a season-long loan.
Hadergjonaj started his career with BSC Young Boys before making a move to the ranks of Die Schanzer last summer. He emerged as one of the blossoming starlets in the German Bundesliga last season but failed to keep his side in the rendezvous zone.
He started 25 league games last season, whilst which he scored 1 goal and bagged 2 assists and his fine run of form earned him his first senior cap for Switzerland in an international friendly against Belarus a couple of months back. He has the calibre and can really make an impact at Huddersfield Town.
The right-back is a good addition to the side of the Premier League’s newcomers, for he has a decent amount of club level experience under his belt already, despite being a 23-year-old. He has shown over the course of his career that he is a modern-day fullback who knits a fine balance between his attacking endeavours and defensive duties.
He crosses the ball well and marauds up and down the pitch with a relentless attitude. Further, he is good in the air and doesn’t refrain from getting into tight circumstances in order to break the opposition’s attacks.
Although he is expected to be a back-up for skipper Tommy Smith, he can really challenge Smith for the right-back position if he makes full use of the chances he is handed.
Wagner has given the impression that he is going to leave no stone unturned in order to ensure that he has the requisite ammunition in his arsenal and it is indeed relishing to see them toiling hard to strike the right chords after their promotion.
