Crystal Palace have started their new campaign in the Premier League in the worst possible way, having been prolifically beaten in both their matchups against newcomers Huddersfield Town and one of the big name clubs, Liverpool. The Eagles found it extremely hard to score a goal against both the opponents while giving away four in total so far, three goals against the Terriers and one against the Reds.
The man in charge at Selhurst Park, Frank De Boer has found it extremely hard so far to get them a decent player in an attacking role in the summer transfer window, who can support the main man in attack, Christian Benteke and get a few goals for his side as well. It has been one of the major detriments for his team to get the goals they require for winning matches as the Dutch manager is looking to bring a top class player into his side for the remainder of the season.
The unavailability of the influential winger Wilfried Zaha for the next one month is also going to hit them hard and De Boer will need someone who can be his team’s saviour in the forthcoming matches.
Among a number of players who have been linked with a move to the Selhurst Park in the remaining days of the summer transfer window, the Eagles are looking to make an ambitious move for the Spanish youngster Munir El Haddadi, who is currently playing for the former La Liga champions Barcelona. The player has been out of favour for quite a long time during his tenure at the Nou Camp and might be in the mood to make a move out of the Catalan club in the summer.
The Spanish international has been a part of the Barcelona lineup since 2015 and has been able to make only 45 appearances so far for the Catalan giants. He was also sent on loan to play for the Spanish La Liga club Valencia in the last term, where he performed well and is now back at the Nou Camp.
With the situation not looking to change very soon, the 21-year-old might make a move out of the club in search for more game time, with his probable destination still unknown. The player played 36 games for Valencia in the last term but it looks quite unlikely for the winger to make a move to the Mestalla this summer. This has alerted the Eagles, as they are looking to bag the player to inspire their side to a better season this time around.
