Leicester City had quite a rusty start to the Premier League as they started their campaign with a defeat to Arsenal. Leicester could not cope up with the tag of Champions and faltered badly last season but will look for stability this time around.
They are expected to be tested by a marauding Manchester United side when they visit the Old Trafford this Saturday.
Having lifted the Premier League title in the 2015/16 season, the stage was set for them to build on their successful campaign but they were pretty awful as they looked sloppy for the most part.
The Foxes needed the guidance of Craig Shakespeare as his intervention helped them to conclude the season in a respectable manner. Title winning manager Claudio Ranieri was shown the door following Leicester’s poor run of form.
They had been quite clearly struggling as they seemed to have lost the belief but the departure of Ranieri looked to play a crucial role as under Shakespeare’s guidance they looked a completely different side altogether.
A late upturn in form helped them to stay alive in the Premier League.
Predicted 4-4-2 Leicester City Lineup Against Manchester United
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel is going to face a daunting task ahead keeping in mind the recent performance of the United attackers. The Red Devils have pumped in four goals each in their last two games and the Danish international needs to be at his best to deny them from scoring.
Harry Maguire and Wes Morgan will find themselves in the starting lineup once again as they will have the task to stop the United juggernaut. Morgan is suffering from a back injury but is expected to make himself available before the match.
Shakespeare has used more or less the same squad and this time too, Christian Fuchs and Danny Simpson will play a crucial role in his set up.
Midfield
The absence of Danny Drinkwater could be felt but Matty James has been quite influential in the centre of the pitch. Onyinye Ndidi has had a stellar presence in the midfield so far and will try to nullify the United attack.
Attack
A lot has been talked about Riyad Mahrez’s future but the Algerian winger is expected to take the right-wing spot while Marc Albrighton is certain to start on the opposite side.
Shinji Okazaki has been quite effective for the Foxes and will start in a more withdrawn role.
Jamie Vardy will lead the team in a bid to salvage a point at the Old Trafford.
