Despite going all out in the transfer market, Slaven Bilic is far from impressed after taking notes following the harrowing defeat in the opening match against Manchester United.
After the turbulent campaign last season, the Hammers have shown their urgency in the transfer market as they backed Bilic with a large pool of transfer kitty.
But despite splashing the cash, the Hammers failed to put in a decent performance against the Red Devils as it seemed they hadn’t learnt from their last season’s mistakes.
After their disastrous opening day display, Bilic has set his eyes on some potential arrivals with William Carvalho being the primary choice. Alongside the incomings, a number of players are expected to be shown the door and according to reports, Bilic has asked Robert Snodgrass to find a new club.
The January arrival was supposed to be a replacement of Dimitri Payet but the Scottish international found it hard to get into the rhythm and as a result, he had been subsequently dropped to the bench.
Let us take a look at 3 possible destinations in case Robert decides to move out-
Southampton
Mauricio Pellegrino’s arrival has completely changed the mindset of the team and Southampton are expected to emphasize more on attack. They do have some of the best wingers in the Premier League but the flair and trickery of Snodgrass could make the difference.
Pellegrino needs an attacker and he does have the luxury to afford him. James Ward-Prowse has been one of the young emerging players for the Saints but he doesn’t possess the pace to take on defenders and Snodgrass could be a very viable option.
West Ham are even ready to sanction a loan deal and Southampton should get this done.
Aston Villa
The Championship giants are battling for a promotion to the Premier League but had a very poor start as they suffered two defeats in their first three Championship matches.
Despite limited funds, Villa made a plethora of signings but they are still looking for an impact player who has that clinical edge in him and having played under Steve Bruce before, Snodgrass could be a much better option for the gaffer.
Stoke City
Following the departure of Arnautovic, Mark Hughes has a shortage of creative players and Snodgrass could help him out. Stoke’s display in the first match looked pretty similar to their last campaign and Hughes needs a playmaker who would be able to provide with some extra workload on the pitch.
