Hull City started their season in the Championship after getting relegated from the top flight at the end of the last season with a hard fought loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers, which is not a good thing for the Tigers for the forthcoming days. They made a valiant effort to at least get a point from the match but the Wolves defence proved too good to keep them away from scoring the equalising goal and walked away with three points.
The Tigers have been dealt with another big blow in their last match in the Championship as their main man in the attack Abel Hernandez had to be stretchered off the field having injured his leg. Though no official report has come in so far, the worst about the player’s injury is being assumed and that might lead to the club looking to bring in a player good enough to lead the attack in place of Hernandez in the forthcoming days of the season that has recently commenced.
Leonid Slutsky, the man in charge at the KCOM Stadium, has been looking to bring in the Nigerian international Ahmed Musa from Leicester City in order to fill in for the injured Abel Hernandez. The Russian tactician, however, is not looking to make it a permanent signing and is rather interested in a loan move for the player in the new season.
There has been nothing mentionable happening for the 24-year-old striker since his arrival at the King’s Power Stadium in the year 2016, as he has been falling down the pecking order and has been used in bits and pieces role for the most part of his tenure with the former Premier League champions. The player has featured in 32 matches so far for the Foxes since 2016 and has scored only four goals so far to show for his efforts.
Having been benched for most of the time in the last season, the Nigerian might look to make a move out of the King’s Power Stadium with two weeks left to the closure of the summer transfer window. The manager at the helm of the Tigers, Slutsky, might be interested to bring the 24-year-old, who has played under his tutelage at the Russian outfit CSKA Moscow before joining the Premier League side.
The player might be interested in a reunion in the forthcoming days with his former manager as well, under whom he featured in 168 matches, scoring 54 times to make a very good impression as a striker.
