Real Madrid have started their new season in competitive football in gallant fashion having already bagged the UEFA Super Cup by defeating the Premier League giants Manchester United by 2-1. They have also set a foot in the way of bagging the second trophy of the season by winning the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup, defeating their arch rivals Barcelona by 3-1 in their own backyard.
The Galacticos, however, are looking to increase their strength, especially in their backline for the new season, which will be starting in a few days and are willing to bring in a top class right back in the form of Davinson Sanchez from the Dutch Eredivisie club Ajax.
The Colombian defender has been in good form of late and has been one of the most influential factors that helped the former Dutch champions to make it to the final of the UEFA Europa League and also miss out on the Dutch Eredivisie title with just one point differentiating between them and the defending champions Feyenoord. The 21-year-old ace is known for his darting runs down the right flank, making it possible for his teammates to get a regular supply of balls in the attacking third, making it possible for them to score for the team.
Real Madrid have let go of the Brazilian full back Danilo, who has joined the Premier League biggies Manchester City in the summer transfer window and are now looking to bring someone in as a backup for their current right back, the Spanish speedster Dani Carvajal. In the current situation, Sanchez, who has been one of the best players, contributing to his club’s success in the last season, is being eyed as the perfect player to fit their bill for the new season.
Ajax, however, has been looking resilient in their decision not to let go of their prized possession in the summer as that will weaken their team and hamper their target to win back the Dutch Eredivisie title in this season. They have already parted ways with another of their strongest players, Davy Klaassen, who was also the captain of their side, as the Dutchman joined the Premier League side, Everton.
The Galacticos are the defending Spanish as well as European champions and will like to remain as such at the end of the season as well. They are working on strengthening their side as much as possible for this season and the inclusion of Davinson Sanchez will definitely help them in that endeavour for sure.
