Brighton and Hove Albion are looking to shape up for the new season in the best possible way and get the players they require to build a strong enough team for their debut season in the Premier League. The Seagulls are well aware of the fact that they will have to face some of the strongest teams in not only the Premier League but also the whole of Europe in the form of Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and defending champions Chelsea and will have to get the right reinforcements in their team to take them head on.
Being the first side to be promoted for the new season, Brighton have already started their venture in the summer transfer market, which is now in its full flow. They have already broken their bank and brought in seven new players into the team to be playing for them in the new season. However, they are not looking to close the chapter as of yet and are looking to add an eighth player to the roster in the form of Jose Izquierdo for the new season.
The 25-year-old winger, who currently plays for the Belgian outfit Club Brugge, has been eyed as one of the top targets for the new season by the Seagulls coach Chris Hughton. The wily one is well aware of the fact that he will require enough attacking options to be included in the team for this season and with his pace and prowess, the Colombian attacker can perfectly fit his bill.
Izquierdo is not only known for his blistering pace while running with and without the ball along the side of the pitch, but also for his dribbling skills which are good enough to bamboozle a lot of good defenders. He is able to take pretty accurate shots on target from set piece situations as well as open play. The Colombian attacker is also known for his ability to control the ball and swift footwork to keep the ball in his possession for a considerable amount of time.
The youngster has been the centre of attraction from a number of clubs from all over Europe, owing to his brilliant skills and good ability to take shots on the opposition goal. He has featured in 117 matches for his current club and has scored 38 goals so far.
As per reports, Izquierdo has already agreed on personal terms with Brighton and is ready for his medical at the Premier League club in the forthcoming few days. The Seagulls are hopeful that the player will help them bring glory in their very first season in the top flight.
