Former Premier League champions Leicester City, who surprised the whole football fraternity by winning the coveted trophy and went on to turn the tables on its head in the season prior to the last one, have found it quite difficult in the last term to weave that magic which paved their path to glory, eventually finishing the season in the 11th position in the league table.
However, the Foxes are looking to bounce back in the new season, with a new manager at the helm in the form of Craig Shakespeare, appointed right after the termination of their Premier League winning coach Claudio Ranieri’s contract. They are well aware that they will need a strong enough team with some top class players, who can help them take on the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham and defending champions Chelsea in the new term.
The new man in charge at the King Power Stadium, Craig Shakespeare, with the new assistant manager Michael Appleton, are looking forward to bring in a number of new players into the team and they have already succeeded in getting their hands on a few players who shone brightly in the last term for their respective clubs. They are now looking to strengthen their midfield and have reportedly turned their heads towards Bulgarian side Ludogorets for their next target.
The Foxes have picked Anicet Abel, who is a Madagascar international, as their potential target in the summer transfer window, to add to their existing line-up. The 27-year-old player had a fairly good season with the Bulgarian champions and has attracted interests from a number of clubs from all around Europe including the former Premier League champions Leicester City.
The player is known for his cool and composed attitude on the pitch and has been one of the mainstays for his team in the central midfield in the last season. He has made 102 appearances so far for the Bulgarian side and has proved his worth as one of the dependable midfielders in the current scenario.
Anicet has been playing a very crucial role in stabilising the midfield for his side, making crucial interceptions in the middle of the pitch and keeping the ball in his possession for a significant amount of time.
He boasts of shrewd passing ability and delightful crosses into the attacking third to feed his teammates, providing them with ample opportunities to score and keep their team in advantage and can definitely be a good addition to the Leicester City side for the next term.
