Brighton and Hove Albion will be playing their debut season in the Premier League and they are looking to prepare a strong team. The Seagulls are well aware of the fact that they have to take on the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham and defending champions Chelsea and are eyeing quite a few players to be brought into the team for the next term to strengthen it to the core.
One player, who has been on the top of the list for Brighton is the Czech Republic defender Ales Mateju, who is currently playing for the club Viktoria Plzen. The full back has attracted the interest of Brighton head coach Chris Hughton, as he wants to bring in the youngster who he thinks might be good enough to stabilise their defence against the top class attackers of the Premier League.
The 21-year-old is one of the future stars for Czech Republic national team and has already represented his country at the Under 21 level. As a right back, Mateju has attracted the eyes of a number of experts including the Brighton coach and he is now willing to make a bid for the player to be brought into their side for the next term.
The young full back has brilliant defensive skills, along with his darting runs down the right-hand side that helps his teammates to get assists on a regular basis, helping them to score goals and keep their team in the advantage. He is also known for unleashing shots on the opposition goal from long range outside the penalty area, causing problems to any defence.
Mateju has been playing for Viktoria Plzen since 2015 and has a very impressive record to show for his efforts. He has already made 50 appearances for his club in the first team and has two crucial goals and two assists under his belt. He is being considered to be one of the young players who can be a star in the future for Czech football.
Brighton are looking forward to bring in a number of players to their side, who can be good enough for them to make it possible to survive their first season in the top flight. The Seagulls are quite sure that the young defender can be one of them and are trying their level best to make him sign for them in the summer transfer market, so as to stabilise their defence and thwart the opposition attacks.
