Tottenham Hotspur had a great campaign in the last term, so as to make it one of the best seasons for them in the last few years. They went on to claim the second spot on the Premier League table, after giving the eventual champions Chelsea a run for their money throughout the season, but finally slipping to some very late goof-ups.
The man in charge of the team, Mauricio Pochettino, is quite confident of the fact that his team can make it all the way to the top in the forthcoming term and has kept his faith in the squad, keeping it as unchanged as possible for the next season. However, there has been a major omission from the team for the summer, the player being the English right back Kyle Walker, who preferred to move to Manchester City after sitting on the bench for most of the time in the last season.
However, defence not being a major problem for the Premier League runners-up, the Argentine mastermind is looking forward to add a top class midfielder to his roster for the forthcoming season. Although there have been players like Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen in the team, Pochettino is opting to make it even more stronger with the inclusion of the Brazilian midfielder Rafinha from the Spanish side Barcelona.
The Brazilian, who has been struggling with an injury concern that cut his last season short, has not found himself on the pitch for Catalan giants very often since joining the senior side in 2013 after impressing in the youth ranks. He has featured in only 18 games last term and might look for a move out of the Nou Camp to a club which will provide him with the option of featuring regularly for the first team.
The Brazilian reportedly has a number of potential takers lurking to bag him for the next term, including the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal. The 24-year old player is known for his dribbling skills and his blistering pace and it will be a good addition for any side who can get a hand on the player for the next term, especially Spurs, as they look to strengthen their midfield.
The Spurs have not yet spent any money in the transfer market as they are not looking to make any big change to their side in the next term. However, a player like Rafinha might be a good inclusion to the roster for the Premier League side in their pursuit of glory.
