Barcelona have endured a frustrating season in their last campaign, both in the Champions League as well as the Spanish La Liga, as they faced a cracking defeat at the hands of the Italian champions Juventus so as to make their way out of Europe and at home, they were dethroned by arch rivals Real Madrid, who went on to become the Spanish La Liga champions for the 33rd time in the history of the competition.
A change of manager doesn’t look to have affected that “misfortune” of the Blaugrana by much, as they might have to give up on one of their superstars, Neymar, who has been the main player for them throughout the last few seasons alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, with the Brazilian eyeing a move away from the Nou Camp in the summer.
Reportedly, the Parc des Princes is the next destination for the Barcelona superstar and the French giants Paris Saint Germain have arranged a sensational coup to bag the player for the next term.
Though the Catalan side are trying to not make a big issue out of the rumours that are surrounding the mega transfer and are trying their level best to hold Neymar back at the Nou Camp, it looks like the move might become a reality in the next few days.
With the situation getting complicated by the day, the Spanish side are looking for a contingency signing, it being a marquee player, who can easily fit in the role that Neymar plays in the side if the Brazilian skipper decides to call it a day on his career in Barcelona. Among a number of names that have come up as a replacement for the Selecaos’ superstar, the Belgian captain Eden Hazard looks to be on the top of the list for the Blaugrana.
The Chelsea talisman had a tremendous season at his current club, helping them to win the Premier League for the sixth time in their history. The Belgian skipper, who lit up Stamford Bridge with his mesmerising skills and immaculate pace, to bamboozle his opponents in the last season, has become the target for a number of top clubs including Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
Barcelona are currently keeping their eyes on the Belgian superstar and looking to make a bid for him in case Neymar leaves Nou Camp. However, Chelsea has made it clear that they will not let go of their prized possession in the summer.
