Watford are looking forward to making a good season of the next one, making amends for the mistakes they made in the last term and bring in some new players to boost their squad to perform well. They have got a new manager in the form of Marco Silva, who was the man in charge for the relegated Hull City in the last term.
The Hornets are in search of a good player who can stabilise the midfield for the next season, which has been an area of problem for them in the last season. The Watford boss, Silva is eyeing a number of players for the next season, and one name right on the top of the list is the Liverpool midfielder, Lazar Markovic.
The 23-year-old player came into the side in the year 2014 and has failed to play as a regular for the Reds over the last few seasons. Last season, the midfielder was sent on loan to play for the then Premier League side Hull City. He played well for the Tigers but was not able to save them from slipping into the second tier, having been relegated from the Premier League.
The Reds are reportedly looking forward to offloading the midfielder in the summer, who has returned after his loan spell with Hull City to join his team at Anfield but has been considered to be surplus to requirements. Jurgen Klopp, the man in charge at Anfield, is quite sure that the Serbian midfielder has nothing to contribute to the team and is looking forward to offloading him in the next term.
The 23-year-old has a good record under his belt and has played for a number of clubs from all around Europe including the likes of Benfica and Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, Fenerbahce in Turkey, Liverpool and Hull City in the Premier League. It is likely that the midfielder will continue to play in the Premier League, with Vicarage Road looking to be the most probable destination for the player in the next term.
Reportedly, the Reds have put a price tag of £8 million on the Serbian, which is way lesser than what they paid for the player when they brought him into the side in 2014. Reportedly, the Tigers are also willing to make a move to bag the player for the next season, however, it is quite unlikely that the player will go to the Championship club ditching the Premier League.
