Chelsea have been spending freely this summer so as to get their team in the best of shape for the next season. Antonio Conte, the current man in charge at Stamford Bridge, has been keen on bringing in some of the best players in Europe to field an even stronger line-up, who can not only keep their dominance in the Premier League intact but also make a mark in the Champions League campaign as well.
Reportedly, the owner of the West London football club, the Russian business tycoon Roman Abramovich is looking forward to hand over £150 million more to the Italian mastermind, so that he can rope in players according to his requirements to revamp his side for the next season.
The ex-Italian national team coach has already bagged players like German defender Antonio Rudiger from Italian club AS Roma, French enforcer Tiemoue Bakayoko from Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco and Spanish striker Alvaro Morata from the present UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid in the summer transfer window so far, and might be eyeing some more talents from all over Europe to add to the roster for the next season.
Three such players who can be targeted by the Blues to add to their strength for the next season are as follows-
Ross Barkley-
The Everton midfielder has been a rebel of sorts due to his denial to put pen to paper on a new contract. With his future still uncertain at the Merseyside club, it is possible that the English midfielder is looking to make his way out of the club, which might be a good news for the Premier League champions as they can bid for the player having a price tag of £50 million on him. However, they might face competition from Manchester United, who are also in pursuit of the player in the summer.
Virgil Van Dijk-
The Dutch defender has been linked with almost every big name club in the Premier League including the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool. Reportedly, the centre back has told his club Southampton that he is willing to leave the club in the summer and has been given the order to train alone till any further decision on his future is taken. This can be a golden opportunity for Chelsea to bid for the player.
Antonio Candreva-
The Italian winger is considered to wanting to make a move out of the San Siro this summer and Chelsea can be the club he might head to. However, Inter Milan might not be willing to let go of the midfielder worth £23 million.
