Fulham made it into the Championship play-offs in the last term but were knocked out of the tournament in the semi-final by Reading, who went to become the runner-ups for the tournament in the last season. This term, though, the Whites are looking to go all the way and win the Championship, thus heading back into the top flight once again.
The man in charge at Craven Cottage, Slavisa Jokanovic has been eyeing a number of transfer targets to be brought into the side for the next term, one of them being the Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome. The 30-year-old is well known in the Championship for his contribution to the Canaries and might be on the move at the end of the season if the offer is an acceptable one.
Jerome has been one of the most experienced players in the Championship and has played over 100 matches for his current side Norwich City, having scored 40 goals so far. Apart from the Canaries, the England international has also played a number of matches for his former club Birmingham City as well, the number is 200 in total. The Fulham manager Jokanovic is looking to make a move for the player in the next term in order to utilise his experience in the forthcoming days to get them in a good position in the Championship.
The 30-year-old Englishman has been one of the players who has played for an array of clubs, including the likes of Crystal Palace, Stoke City and Cardiff City as well. He has a good record under his belt in addition to his good scoring record as well, which is one of the prime factors for Fulham to make a bid for him in the next term.
It has not been a very good transfer window this summer for the Whites, with the Championship side failing to bring in some major players to strengthen their side for the new season. While a number of players have left the side so far, only two players in the form of Ibrahima Cisse and Marcelo Djalo have been procured to come into Craven Cottage so far. However, Fulham are hopeful that they will be able to get their hands on Jerome to strengthen their attacking front, with his vast experience of playing for a number of clubs in the Championship coming handy for them in the next term.
Reportedly, the club is poised to make a bid of £3 million in the summer to bring in the player from Norwich City this summer.
