Manchester United have been looking forward to a season of intense competitiveness in the Premier League as well as the Champions League and are looking forward to making the team as strong as possible in the summer transfer market by bringing in an array of new players into the side. They have already started to show their intention and have brought in one of the most successful strikers in the Premier League from the last season in the form of the Belgian superstar Romelu Lukaku.
The man in charge at the Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho, has also been looking to offload a number of players in the summer, one of them being the influential skipper Wayne Rooney, who was left to join the Merseyside club Everton for the new season. Another player who was reportedly a target to be offloaded by the Portuguese in the summer is the English midfielder Ashley Young, with the 32-year-old almost poised to join fellow Premier League side West Ham United.
However, the ex-Chelsea manager has declared that he is not looking to let go of the player in the summer, as he will need him to be an important part of the squad in the next season as well. Mourinho has reportedly told the English midfielder not to be worried about his future at the Theatre of Dreams, as he is likely to be an integral part of his plans for the forthcoming season.
The wily midfielder, who prefers to play as a winger for the Red Devils, has been known for his diligence and has now got assurance about his future from the current manager. This is supposed to be very good news for the Englishman, given the amount of dedication and hard work he has been putting on the pitch throughout his career at the Old Trafford.
The player arrived at Manchester United in 2011 from the then Premier League club Aston Villa and has been an integral part of the lineup for most of his time spent under the coaching of the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Under the coaching of former coach Louis van Gaal as well, the player made a number of appearances and was hailed as an imperative part of the team in the season prior to the last one.
Last season, he featured on 23 occasions for the Red Devils and showed composed display of skills and footwork on the left-hand side of the pitch, which has seemingly impressed the present coach Mourinho as well.
