Chelsea have been looking to do good business in the transfer market this summer so far, having already bagged two of the best players in Europe in the form of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid and Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco. The Premier League Champions are not in the mood to end their spending spree and are looking to strengthen their side by bringing in players from all around Europe.
The West London club have their eyes on the Italian winger Antonio Candreva and it looks quite likely that they are going to make a bid for him this summer. The 30-year-old old is currently playing for the Serie A side Inter Milan and has vast experience of playing for a number of clubs in the top flight throughout his career so far.
The midfielder, who has played all his football in Italy so far, is known for his darting runs down the right hand side into the opposition half and his wily footwork to make the task really difficult for the opposition defenders in the middle.
However, the player is adored all over Europe for his footballing sense and is considered to be a good addition to his squad by the Chelsea coach Antonio Conte for the next season.
The Italian mastermind, who took charge of the Blues in the last season, has good prior experience of working with the 30-year-old winger in the national team, when he was the man in charge of the Azzuris. He is looking to bring in the player so that he can have more options at his disposal to be used on the right wing, having deployed Victor Moses in the position throughout the last term, after initiating a new 3-4-3 formation.
Candreva has played so far in his career for almost every important club in Italy, including the likes of Udinese, Lazio, Juventus, Parma and Inter Milan to mention some of them. However, this will be a new challenge for the player if he chooses to make a move out of the Serie A and head into the Premier League, as he will not find it easy to adjust to the English way of life and football.
The 30 year old Italian international has more than 400 games under his belt throughout his career so far and is considered to be one of the finest midfielders in the current scenario in European football. It is believed that the Blues can get a hand on their desired player for a transfer fee of £25 million. So should they make a move this summer?
