Brighton Hove and Albion have been looking forward to bring in players for the next season in their squad, who have got a fair experience of playing in the Premier League for the past few seasons and can strengthen their squad for the next term. The Seagulls are getting ready to head strongly into their debut season in the Premier League, making it a successful one in terms of results.
Chris Hughton’s side has been looking good in the Championship in the last term and made it into the Premier League as the first team from the Championship. However, they will need players who can stabilise their side for the next term, where they will be facing top class teams like Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and defending champions Chelsea.
The Seagulls, reportedly, are looking to make a move for the English defender Carl Jenkinson, who is currently playing for Arsenal in the Premier League. However, lack of starts has disappointed the player in the last few seasons and the right back is looking for a team in the new season, who can offer him a regular place in the starting eleven throughout the term.
The 25-year-old is known for his darting runs down the right-hand side and is also helpful with his pinpoint passing into the heart of the opposition defence, feeding his teammates with delightful crosses. He can also be very good player in the backline for his team and has been looking good while getting into tussles with opposition strikers to get the ball away from their possession.
Jenkinson has made 62 appearances so far for the Gunners but has failed to nail down his place as a permanent player in the backline. He has been restricted to bits and pieces appearances for the North London club and might be a good addition to the roster for the Seagulls in the new season.
The 25-year-old also spent two seasons on loan at West Ham United, while playing 59 matches for them, proving his worth as one of the brightest young defenders in the country and attracting interests from a number of clubs from the Premier League as well as the Championship.
Reportedly, apart from Brighton Hove and Albion, another new entrant into the Premier League for the next season, Newcastle United, who are making a comeback in the top flight after spending one season in the second tier, are also interested in signing the player for the next term.
