After a season which has been nothing less than disappointing for them in the first place, West Ham United are looking forward to making a good impression on their fans as well as the whole Premier League fraternity, as they enter the summer transfer market, ready to bring in some of the top class players who have been performing well for their respective teams in the Premier League over the past few seasons.
Austrian forward Marko Arnautovic has been one of the most wanted players in the transfer market more so at the London Stadium, as the Hammers are looking to place a bid to bring him in for the next season to strengthen their forward line.
Both the present players in the forward line for the Hammers, Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho, have been out of touch in the last season and might be offloaded in the summer, given they get good enough value for them.
Aranautovic has been a prolific scorer for his club Stoke City since his arrival in 2013 and has been serving the team with complete dedication, with Mark Hughes having complete faith in him as his main man in the frontline over the last few terms.
The 28 year old has, however, been reluctant to stay at the Bet365 Stadium after last season’s disappointing performance that saw them finish at the 13th position on the League table, irking interest from a number of clubs from the Premier League including West Ham United, as they made a bid of £20 million to bring the player in for the next term. The bid, however, was rejected by the Potters, who are in no mood to let go off their prized possession.
West Ham, however, are poised to make an even bigger bid of £22.5 million in order to bag the Austrian winger, with the Potters finding it alluring enough to let go off their attacking spearhead in the next season.
The 28-year-old forward has been one of the players who have been an integral part of the Potters’ line-up in the last few seasons and has made 145 appearances for the team in which he scored 26 goals for them. He also took up the charge of assisting his teammates from time to time, handing them with opportunities to score goals, the overall count being 32 times in total. So it does not come as a surprise that the Hammers manager Bilic is looking forward to including him in his team roster for the next season.
