Hull City are looking forward to the new season with a new vigour and a revamped team, which might help them to head back into the Premier League in the next term after they were relegated from the top flight in the last season owing to a dismal performance. However, the Tigers are looking determined this term to achieve a good ending to the season which will send them back into the top tier.
The new manager, Leonid Slutsky, is known to be a wily tactician and is ready to rebuild his team in search of better performances for the next season. He has already started his venture towards his team’s restructuring and has signed the young defender Liam Edwards from Stoke City to safeguard his defence for the new season. However, attack has also been a big concern for the Russian mastermind, and he is looking forward to bring in players who can provide them with the much sought after edge in order to sharpen the forward line.
Reportedly, one name right on the top of the target list for the Tigers’ manager has been the Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent. The 20-year old winger has been one of the stars for his club Barnsley in the last term, where he was sent on loan from Liverpool to gather some much needed first team experience. He performed brilliantly in the attack for the club and was named the Young Player of the Year by the Tykes.
Though the English international has rejoined his team at the end of the his loan term with Barnsley, there is a meagre possibility that the player is going to end up playing in the first team for the Reds in the next season as well. Though he is sure to be a part of the squad that leaves in a few days for their pre-season tour, with the arrival of the Egyptian winger Mohammad Salah in the team, it is very unlikely for Kent to head into the starting line-up when the next term commences.
Hull City is looking to take this opportunity and bring in the talented youngster into their team, where he is sure to get regular starts. However, their interest in the English international might face stern competition from fellow Championship sides like Birmingham City and his old club Barnsley.
The inclusion of Kent is sure to come as a boost for them in the next season, if the Reds agree to let go of him to strengthen the Tigers’ attack.
