Eden Hazard has reportedly told Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane he is currently concentrating on his Chelsea career and has no intention of leaving the club as of now.
Hazard has been a game changer for the Blues since his arrival and was the major factor behind their title triumph last season. Chelsea owe a lot to the Belgian winger as he has single handedly brought the club to the top of the success ladder after guiding the club to two Premier League titles in three years.
His rise to prominence hasn’t gone unnoticed by the French manager of the Spanish giants and since last season he has been trying to hijack a deal for the 26-year-old.
After an uncharacteristically poor 2015/16 season, Hazard revived his form this season and the Belgian international went on to register 16 goals under his belt as Chelsea cruised to the title.
On the back of the recent success, the West London giants are considering tying the player to a new long term contract and are ready to make him the highest paid player in the Premier League beating the likes of Paul Pogba.
Here is the list of three players who might be potential alternatives.
Kylian Mbappe
The French wonder kid has been subject to a world record bid from Real Madrid as Zidane has been trying to form an unbeatable team. Madrid already boasts a number of high profile players with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos but the recent success of Mbappe has opened a door for him.
Monaco have knocked back a number of offers from a number of clubs but Real remain confident that the player is for sale at the right price.
Yannick Carrasco
Madrid could turn their attention to their neighbours Atletico Madrid for the services of Yannick Carrasco. Hazard’s fellow countryman has established himself pretty comfortably at the Vicente Calderon and has been a regular in Diego Simeone’s starting lineup.
There are some concerns over Gareth Bale’s fitness as the Welsh wizard has the knack to pick up injuries very often. Given Carrasco’s performance for Atleti, there might still be some aspects of the game which needs to be rectified but the player has the potential to thrive for the Spanish giants.
Domenico Berardi
The Italian attacker is relatively unknown in the European circuit but his blazing performances for the Serie A side, Sassuolo, have earned him some serious recognition over the years.
The winger has a decent goals scoring record but there is a clause in his contract which allows Juventus to have a say on his transfer as the Italian giants have the first refusal on him.
