Watford have been looking to make amends for their utterly disappointing season in the last term, which saw them finish right on the brink of relegation from top flight football and make a strong statement in the next season, thus building a strong enough team inclusive of players who can turn the season on its head for the Hornets.
The Premier League club are looking to bring in one of the most promising talents in English football in the form of Nathaniel Chalobah, who has been a part of their side in the 2012/13 season on a loan move from his current side Chelsea and had played well to satisfy the fans as well the team management. Their present boss Marco Silva is well aware of the capabilities of the exuberant midfielder and is keeping his tabs on the youngster to make him a part of his side in the forthcoming season.
The 22 year old, who has been a part of the England squad for the recently concluded under 21 European Championship, has been playing for the present Premier League champions Chelsea for the last six years and has been sent on loan to play at some of the clubs from all around Europe, including the likes of Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Reading, Napoli and Watford, where he spent the 2012/13 season and scored five goals in 38 appearances to show for his efforts.
Chalobah’s appearances for his current club Chelsea has been pretty limited, with only 10 outings to his name in the last term, out of which he started in only one and the other nine were from the substitute bench. In the next season as well, it is quite unlikely that the scenario is going to change much, with the Premier League champions already looking to bring in players from leagues around Europe and strengthen their team in the summer transfer window.
Watford, meanwhile, are in dire need of players who can help them stabilise their midfield for the next season, which has been an area of major problem for them in the last season. They have already got Tom Cleverly on a permanent basis to sign for them in the summer, who had a fairly good season on loan for them in the last term from his former side Everton.
The Hornets are now looking for someone who can partner him in their midfield in the next season, and the 22-year-old England international seems to have fit the bill for Marco Silva.
