Manchester United have been looking to do their best in the transfer market this summer, as they are eyeing some of the best players in the current European football scenario to get them in the team for the next season. The Red Devils are on their way to make a much-awaited comeback into the Champions League after winning the Europa League in the last term and are looking to build a strong enough team in order to compete with some of the best teams in Europe that will be playing in the competition.
However, it has not been a great summer so far for Jose Mourinho’s side, as they have been able to sign only one top class player, in the form of Victor Lindelof, the Swedish central defender who played a pivotal role in the heart of the backline for his former club Benfica to make them the Champions in the Portuguese Primeira Liga in the last season.
The Portuguese tactician Mourinho is looking to increase his options in the strike force for the next season, as Manchester United might look to offload quite a few players from their forward line and bring in reinforcements for them.
The Red Devils have already let go of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, their talismanic striker from the last season, who was entitled to stay at Old Trafford for one season after he was brought in from French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer last summer and suffered a long absence in the latter part of the season due to an injury.
The Premier League outfit is now in pursuit of players who are young and have been playing well for their respective clubs in the last few seasons, to become the pinnacle of their success in the next season.
Two such players, both of whom have been strongly linked with Manchester United for the next season are Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata. While the Spaniard has been out of favour under Zinedine Zidane and is looking for a club which can provide him with the option to spearhead their attack in the next term, the Belgian striker might be on his way out of Goodison Park to make a move towards any of the bigger clubs in the Premier League including Manchester United and Chelsea in the summer.
Here’s how the lineup will look with both the players in it-
De Gea, Valencia, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw/Darmian, Pogba, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Martial/Rashford, Lukaku, Morata
