Ryan Kent has been one of the players to impress in the Championship last season and has attracted a lot of interests from a number of clubs including the likes of Leeds United and Scottish champions Celtic, who want him to be a part of their squad for the next season.
Leeds United are looking to add more firepower to their team in the forthcoming season and will have another attempt at going into the Championship playoffs, which they could not manage this season due to a late collapse in the season, handing over the playoff spot to fellow Championship side, Fulham. Leeds finally ended the season in the seventh position in the recently concluded season.
The Whites have appointed ex-APOEL manager Thomas Christiansen after their former coach Garry Monk left the side, which can be considered as an aftermath of their disappointing performance right at the end of the season. With this move, the Elland Road club are far from giving up in the new season and are looking to make it to the playoffs in the next term, bringing in quite a few players to revamp their side for the next season.
Ryan Kent has played in the Championship for Barnsley on loan from Liverpool and has been nothing less than a star for them. The right winger made a big impact on the results of the club’s outings throughout the season, playing a pivotal role in the starting line-up. The attacking midfielder scored three goals this season and also laid off quite a few assists to make it able for his teammates to score goals.
Kent has also been eyed by Brendan Rodgers, the man in charge of Celtic, who have been crowned the Scottish champions for the recently concluded season. He has been, as per sources, a great fan of the youngster from the Liverpool under 23 side, and wants to bring him into the side in the next transfer window.
Though Kent has been one of the stars of the show for the Barnsley side last term, he has not yet been featured in any match for Liverpool. The Reds have not been able to provide him with a place in their senior side, which has got the youngster reportedly disappointed and he is looking to make a move out of Anfield in the summer.
Despite his impressive performances in the Championship this term, the youngster is looking to improve his scoring record in the forthcoming season.
