Tottenham have ended the current season on a high, having clinched the runner-up position in the Premier League campaign. All the players have played their part very precisely in the emphatic season for the North London club, and are looking to continue their good run in the next season as well.
There have been very few glitches to be pointed at in this near flawless season for the Spurs. However, there are certain changes that might be adopted by Tottenham in the next season to improve the side’s quality in every department on the field. These certain changes can be depicted in the following lines-
Attacking options can be increased-
Tottenham are in possession of the most lethal weapon in the Premier League in their arsenal, Harry Kane, who has been awarded the Golden Boot for two consecutive seasons. The England international has been in immaculate form, with his shooting and finishing being of world class quality, handing the advantage to his team over his opponents. However, if there is one more player who can share the load of goal scoring with Kane in the next season, then it can bring up the efficiency of the team and make the attack edgier for the Spurs next term.
Bring in a good right back if Walker leaves the team-
Kyle Walker, the English right back has already been linked with a number of big name clubs and might be on his way out of White Hart Lane in the summer, leaving a big void in the defence for the Spurs. Their Argentine coach is well aware of the fact and has already started looking for a good enough player to replace the right back in case he leaves in the next season. Though Kieran Trippier has stepped up and played quite well in the aforementioned position for the last part of the season, it is quite likely that Pochettino will be looking to bring someone in to fill up the position and make the team stronger for the next term. Reportedly, Adam Smith from Bournemouth has been linked with a move to his former club in the summer.
A good replacement in the left back position-
Danny Rose, the England international, has been one of the best left-backs in the Premier League this season. However, he might be entitled to a change of team for the next season, with Tottenham reportedly looking to bring in Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham to fill in for him in the summer.
