Manchester United ended their dismal season this term with a big win over the Dutch club Ajax in the final of the Europa League to book a place in next year’s Champions League. This has led their current coach Jose Mourinho looking for players who can make them a stronger side, one that is eligible to take on some of the best teams in Europe.
In his pursuit to make his team one of the best ones in all over Europe, the Portuguese tactician is looking to bring in players who have a good deal of experience of playing in the European competitions on a regular basis. One such player is the Spanish forward Alvaro Morata, who is currently playing with Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga.
Real Madrid have become the champions of the Spanish La Liga and much to the delight of their fans and players, have also successfully defended their Champions League title against the Italian champions Juventus. However, their present coach Zinedine Zidane has not been able to play a number of players in the team on a regular basis, Morata being one of them.
The young Spaniard has started only 14 times this season for his club and has been used most of the times as a backup for the main striker Karim Benzema. This has reportedly infuriated the young talent and he is looking to make a move out of the Santiago Bernabeu to a club that can provide him with the opportunity to play in the first XI on a regular basis.
Reportedly, Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has been looking to bring in a top class player who can replace his team’s main man upfront Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish striker got injured severely in a match during the recently concluded season and might not recover in time to play a significant part in the start of the season. As a result, Mourinho is searching for a player who can make an impact on the side for the next season in place of Ibrahimovic.
Morata is also interested in a move away from the Bernabeu to a team where he can get full exposure on the pitch and might consider a move to Old Trafford in the summer. It is being hoped that the Spaniard might be a good fit in the line-up to replace the mercurial Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Spanish striker, however, has said that he is happy at his current club and is looking forward to playing for them in the next season. Manchester United is still considering a move for the youngster for the next season and in football one never knows.
