However, there has been no official confirmation of the transfer so far, but it is quite clear that the Spanish La Liga champions are quite determined to make De Gea their main man between the sticks for the next season.
The Red Devils, meanwhile, are in search of a top class goalkeeper whom they can bring in to replace their champion shot stopper in the next season. There have been a lot of names that have been linked with the Premier League club. One player that could take the Spaniard’s place next season is Southampton star, Fraser Forster.
The Englishman has been in fine form throughout the currently concluded season and has been nothing less than a rock for his team in between the crossbars. The goalkeeper has been one of the best in his position in the Premier League and has been pursued by a number of clubs to make him a part of their line-up for the next season.

Forster is known for his ball handling abilities and is equipped with a very cool head on his shoulders and a keen eye for the movement of the player who is taking aim on the goal. This also helps him immensely while in one on one situations with the opponents and is someone who can take up the legacy of De Gea. However, he has not been consistent enough and United will have to make sure that they can trust him if they decide to spend on him this summer.
