Andrea Belotti has been one of the hottest properties in European football in the recently concluded Italian Serie A season. The Azzurri striker, who has scored 26 goals this season for his club Torino in the Serie A this term in 35 games, has been pursued by some of the biggest clubs in the Serie A as well as in Europe, including the Premier League club Arsenal.
The Gunners did not have a satisfactory season this term, despite their win in the final of the FA Cup to lift the trophy for a record thirteenth time. Arsenal stumbled all the way through their journey this season and had to be happy with a finish outside the top four for the first time in two decades. They are set to miss the Champions League and will be playing in the Europa League next season owing to their fifth position finish in the Premier League table.
Arsene Wenger, the club’s legendary manager, has been already handed a new two-year deal. The club authority has kept complete faith in him and is sure that he will be giving them something to cherish about in the new season. Wenger himself is also aware of the fact that he has to make things happen in a positive way this season, as a part of the fans are already making demands for him to leave the post of the head coach of Arsenal continuously.
The Frenchman might not be able to keep hold of one of his key man in the next season, Alexis Sanchez, who might make a move to the current champions of the Premier League Chelsea this summer. As a result, he might be eyeing a viable option to replace his main man up front and is willing to bring in Belotti from Torino to add firepower to his squad in the next term.
Belotti has been chased by some of the biggies in European football, and Torino have recently rejected a bid from the Serie A giants Internazionale, which was way short of the prescribed £86 million valuation of their prized possession. The fact that Torino do not want to sell the young striker to any other club in the Italian Serie A is also considered to have played a crucial part in the rejection of the bid from Inter.
However, the Italian club is ready to hear offers from potential suitors, especially from the Premier League, to let go of their star man, given that they quote the right price for him.
