West Ham United have been through a pretty dismal season this term in the Premier League and are looking to make amends for the next season by rebuilding the team which will contain some top class players. Slaven Bilic, their current coach, has faced lots of criticism for the poor performance of the club and is determined to turn things around in the next season.
Reportedly, the Hammers have been linked with a number of players from all over Europe to be brought into the team during the summer. As per sources, Belgian striker, who currently plays for Chelsea, Mitchy Batshuyi, has been linked with a move to improve West Ham’s productivity in front of goal.
However, the chances of the forward, who has been very rarely used by Chelsea coach Antonio Conte throughout their Premier League-clinching season, making a move to West Ham is look quite unlikely as he might be on his way to French Ligue 1 champions Monaco in the summer. This has left the Hammers looking for fresh options whom they can target in place of the youngster during the summer transfer window. Here are three players West Ham should look at if they miss out on the Chelsea star:
Lukasz Teodorczyk (Anderlecht):
The Anderlecht striker has been on top of his form and has scored 28 goals in 47 appearances for his club this season in all competitions. The Hammers are reported to have already shown interest in acquiring the services of the mercurial Polish marksman, who might prove to be a good addition to their side in case they are not able to get Batshuyi in their squad next summer.
Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool):
The Englishman has been one of the most highly rated strikers in England as well as Europe and has a proven track record to show for his efforts in the recent past. However, a prolonged injury made him sit out for a chunk of the last season on the sideline and might be shown the door in the next season by his current club Liverpool. Slaven Bilic can make a move for the striker to solve his problems up front in the next season.
Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City):
The Manchester City striker, who has been out of favour under the new coach Pep Guardiola, can be a good addition to the Hammers line up to end their goal drought in the next season. Reportedly, the Nigerian striker is set to undergo a medical at West Ham United with the Citizens accepting an offer of £24 million and he is as good an option, if not better, than Batshuayi.
