Everton has been looking to bring in some new players into the side to strengthen the squad for the new season, with a chance of their influential midfielder Ross Barkley leaving Goodison Park in summer. One of their main targets to replace the English attacking midfielder is the Belgian starlet Thorgan Hazard.
The brother of Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been one of the main players for his current club Borussia Monchengladbach in the German Bundesliga this term. The Belgian midfielder has been going from strength to strength throughout the current season with his pace and prowess making him one of the most highly regarded players in the Bundesliga.
Thorgan joined his brother Eden at Chelsea in 2012 from Lens, but unlike his brother, failed to make an impact in the Premier League. He eventually left the club to join Borussia Monchengladbach and made himself popular in the German Bundesliga, helping his team to earn a respectable position in the league table.
Hazard is one of the most talented players in Europe in the current situation and is reportedly happy at his current club. However, the player has given the rumours of his potential move to the Premier League some wind by declaring that he might move back to England in the future.
Everton is reportedly also keen to bring in the Belgian midfielder into the side for the next season. Ronald Koeman, the current man in charge at Goodison Park, has been a big admirer of the abilities of the Monchengladbach player and will like to make him a part of the squad.
Reportedly, Thorgan has been entitled to a £15.5 million transfer fee in the current season. As per sources, Arsenal have also been interested to avail the services of the midfield enforcer for the next season to bolster their chances to make a mark in the Premier League next season, after ending at a rather disappointing fifth position this term.
Thorgan Hazard is known for his darting runs into the heart of the opposition defence and his mesmerising dribbling skills. He is also known for his ability to score goals from both open play and set piece situations. He is also good with his head and can come out on top of his opponents while vying for the ball in aerial duels.
Though his current club Borussia Mönchengladbach are in no mood to let go of their star man, it is to be seen whether Thorgan can resist the temptation of moving back to the Premier League.
