Manchester City sent a strong warning to the other clubs as they hit a hapless Watford for five. Sergio Aguero netted twice and Vincent Kompany, Gabriel Jesus and Fernandinho struck one each to give the Hornets a harrowing end of the season. City have finished the season in a third position and have qualified or the Champions League next season.
Willy Caballero – 7
Had a quiet first half as Watford hardly showed any intentions. In the second half, he had to be a little bit cautious as the Hornets pressed hard. He denied Okaka from scoring and kept a clean sheet.
Vincent Kompany – 7.5
The Belgian defender’s composedness and calm presence in the City backline were the missing links in his absence. He showed how to defend as he kept Stefano Okaka in his pocket. He also scored the first goal for City which proved his supreme aerial ability.
Nicolas Otamendi – 7
Ably partnered Kompany in the centre of the defence to deal with the Watford threat. His solid fluidity in the defence gave the license to Yaya Toure to surge forward.
Fernandinho – 7
Was again positioned in the right back and did a justice to his role. Had some few nervy moments especially with Niang which almost led to a goal. Later replaced Toure in the heart of the midfield and made it sure that the game steered under their control.
Gael Clichy – 7.5
Gave a very inspiring performance as he stormed ahead to give support to Sane and co. Also helped the defence when needed.
Kevin De Bruyne – 9
Was operating from a little deep but that couldn’t stop him from giving an outstanding performance. He literally juggled with the Watford defence as thread some delightful defence-splitting passes to pick Aguero and Jesus. Showed his set piece master class once again as his neatly taken corner was the reason for the first goal. Racked up his 18th assist of the season as he fed Aguero with a delicious ball to set up the second goal.
Yaya Toure – 8
He did what the Ivorian is known for. Stood like a mountain in front of the defence and provide that balance in the midfield by shrugging off what Watford had offered.
David Silva – 8
Had another brilliant game. Combined beautifully with De Bruyne to organise the City attacks.
Leroy Sane – 7
Was behind the third goal as he burst into the penalty box only to pick out Aguero with a weighted pass. Kept the Watford defence busy with his marauding runs through the flanks.
Gabriel Jesus – 7.5
Showed his hunger for goals as he superbly placed the ball to score City’s last goal.
Sergio Aguero – 9.5
The man of the match for City. Could have had a hat-trick had he not missed a tap in. He was all over the field. Sometimes he cut off to the right wing, dropped back to keep possessions. Overall had an awesome ending to the season.

Needs to perfect his work ethic.
