Tottenham Hotspur have been in great form throughout the current season in the Premier League, playing a very exciting brand of football. They will definitely be looking to continue their good run in the next season as well, and they have already started to look for players to make their squad strong to take on some of the best sides in Europe, as they will be participating in the UEFA Champions League in the next season.
Although they already have players like Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Dele Alli in their ranks, Spurs are looking to bring in new faces who will be able to give them a definitive edge in their attack in the next season. A number of players have been speculated to be linked with them, including the Argentine forward Lucas Alario.
Alario is having a good season for his current side River Plate in the domestic league as well as Copa Libertadores and has been at the top of his form. The 24-year-old striker has scored 16 goals in 28 appearances for the Argentine club and is considered to be one of the best forwards playing in the Primera Division this season. He has also laid off one crucial assist for his teammates to score a goal.
This is not the first time that the Argentine ace has been linked with a Premier League club. Merseyside club Liverpool had already made a bid of £8.5 million to bag the striker from River Plate, only to see it being rejected by the Argentine club. However, The Reds have reportedly not given up in their pursuit and might be going in with a renewed bid for Alario in the next transfer market.
Tottenham, on the other hand, are already eyeing to land the striker with a £8.4 million deal during the next transfer window. However, it has been cleared from his current club River Plate’s side that the striker is worth far more than that. Reportedly, the Argentine club has slammed a price tag of £15.2 million on their prized possession.
As per sources, Italian clubs Internazionale and Torino have also expressed their interest in the youngster to make him a part of their squad for the next season. Torino might have to let go of their striker Andrea Belotti in the next season and are eyeing to bring in Alario to replace him.
Internazionale have been under severe distress given their current form in front of the goal and might also look to bring in the Argentine from River Plate.
