Manchester United played out their 15th draw of the current campaign as they were held goalless by Southampton in the midweek. The Red Devils will take on Crystal Palace in the last match of what has been a very disappointing season for them. They have recorded 10 draws at Old Trafford which has proven to be very frustrating for Jose Mourinho. Had United been able to win half of those drawn games, the League table could have been different and they might have been in a position to challenge for the title.
Despite spending a lot of money in summer, Mourinho failed to conquer the league this time and a draw in the last match will put an end to an erratic season. However, there could be some twists as United still are to play the Europa League final and winning the title will let them compete in the Champions League next term.
Predicted 4-2-3-1 Manchester United Lineup Against Crystal Palace
Defence
Mourinho stated that he will rotate his team and will give chances to the youngsters as they have nothing to play for. Joel Pereira is expected to make his debut in a United shirt in the Premier League. Axel Tuanzebe might be called back to his original position. He is set to form a new defensive pair with Eric Bailly at the heart of the Red Devils defence.
Mourinho will give chances to a host of young players and Demetri Mitchell could be one of them. The young left back might get his first taste of Premier League football in the season finale. Matteo Darmian has been filling in the left back positions but in this match, he will return to his favourite right back position
Midfield
Josh Harrop will be coming to the starting lineup. The young midfielder scored a hat-trick against the Tottenham Hotspur U-23 team recently. A team like Crystal Palace will be a tough nut to crack and Harrop will relish his first start for the senior side. Matty Willock has been on the reserve bench for the last couple of matches and might make his debut for the Red Devils.
Attack
18-year-old Zachary Dearnley will be unleashed to the starting lineup as Mourinho wants to make sure the youngsters gets proper exposure. Wayne Rooney might start at the no. 10 position to lead the team from the front.
This will be a golden chance for Scott McTominay who will be making a start in the last match for the Red Devils.
