There have been rumours that Chelsea striker Diego Costa might leave the club after this season and might be on his way to China in a multi-million transfer deal. Costa has been one of the most influential players for The Blues, playing a major role in their Premier League triumph this season. It goes without saying that his absence will hit The Blues squad very hard in the attacking front if a suitable player is not found to replace the Spaniard in the next season.
Speculations are rife that Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has already started his search for a player who can fill the boots of the Spanish striker in case he leaves Stamford Bridge next season. On his radar are a number of top strikers from all over Europe, including the likes of Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid and Romelu Lukaku of Everton.
Alvaro Morata has been one of the best young strikers in the recent time in European football. His pace and prowess have been on spot throughout the season and he has been one of the crucial players for his current club Real Madrid, helping them to advance to the final of this season’s Champions League. However, due to the presence of the Karim Benzema in the Galacticos line-up, it has not been a season for regular starts for the Spanish striker and he has been compelled to play the second fiddle on most of the occasions by Los Blancos coach Zinedine Zidane.
Reportedly, this has infuriated the Spaniard and he is looking to move away from Santiago Bernabeu in the next season, his probable destination being Stamford Bridge. Morata was instrumental during his stay at Juventus under the coaching of current Chelsea coach Antonio Conte and enjoyed great success throughout the two seasons he spent there before moving back to Madrid. Conte will also be eyeing the opportunity of this much-rumoured reunion.
Romelu Lukaku, on the other hand, has been in ominous form throughout the current Premier League season and is currently on the top of the goal scoring chart with 24 goals. He has been going from strength to strength with every match and has helped his side, Everton, to reach a comfortable position on the League Table.
However, the lack of support from his teammates has invoked glimpses of disappointment into the Belgian marksman, who is eyeing a move away from Goodison Park in the next season. Speculations are rife that Chelsea is looking to take full advantage of the situation and might bag Lukaku.
