With Sunderland having been relegated from the Premier League, their striker Fabio Borini might be on the move to a new club in the new season. The Sunderland striker has failed to impress in his two seasons with The Black Cats and might reportedly move out of the Premier League during the next transfer window.
Reportedly, the Italian international has been heavily linked with the Scottish Champions Celtic, as their manager Brendan Rodgers is eyeing a reunion with his old colleague whom he signed for his side when he was at Liverpool. Speculations are rife that the Italian international might come to the club from the Premier League for a release clause of £6 million in the summer.
Sunderland are also, as per sources, looking to offload the not-so-successful striker in the next season as they need financial assistance to revamp their squad for the Championship. The Italian international, who played only one match for his country so far, has been involved in only two goals, scoring both of them during his two-year-long stay with The Black Cats.
However, there might be no shortage of potential takers for the ex-Liverpool striker to be a part of their line-up in the next season. Borini can stay back in the Premier League if he is clinched by West Bromwich Albion, who might require a new striker in the next season to continue their fairly good run in the Premier League.
West Brom might be a good place for the Italian striker to end up as the careful guidance of their coach Tony Pulis can help him become a better player and improve himself in the forthcoming days.
Borini can also look to go back to his motherland Italy and in search of a suitable club for his career to make a fresh start. Fiorentina, who might have to let go of their prized striker Federico Bernardeschi in the next season, might take up the Sunderland as a replacement. Bernardeschi has been linked with Premier League champions Chelsea and Italian giants Juventus owing to his great run in the Italian Serie A this season.
Torino can also be a good option for the Italian international, as they might have to leave their mercurial striker Andrea Belotti in the next season to join Premier League club Manchester United. Belotti has also been linked with a move to the Premier League club Arsenal. However, under the current circumstances, Celtic looks to be the perfect destination for the Italian striker Fabio Borini.
