Tottenham Hotspur managed a 2-1 win over Manchester United as the Red devils failed to play spoilsport in the last ever game at the White Hart Lane. Wanyama scored early in the first half as he headed home from a Ben Davies cross to make it 1-0. Tottenham continued to threaten but weren’t able to extend their lead in the first half itself. Tottenham doubled their lead in the second half through Harry Kane, making him the last Spurs’ scorer at the White Hart Lane. Manchester United pulled one back through Rooney to make it 2-1 but Tottenham managed to hold on to the lead and took all three points to confirm second place in the Premier League. Hugo Lloris:
Rating:7
The Frenchman didn’t have much to do at the back but did well whenever called upon.
Kieran Trippier:
Rating:7.5
Trippier did well to improvise and had a decent game playing several clever through balls until he was taken off with an injury in the second half.
Toby Alderweireld:
Rating:7.5
Alderweireld made a few errors which fortunately weren’t costly. His long balls give Tottenham another approach to play out from the back.
Jan Vertonghen:
Rating:8
Vertonghen had an excellent game, making a last-ditch challenge to put Rashford off in the dying minutes of the game.
Ben Davies:
Rating:7.5
Davies too had a decent game as he made several runs down the left and also defended quite well.
Victor Wanyama:

Victor Wanyama was excellent throughout the game as he not only defended exceptionally well to impede Manchester United’s progress and dispossessed quite a number of times. He also got Tottenham an early breakthrough with a really good header.
Christian Eriksen:

Eriksen was Tottenham’s best player on the pitch as he got a vital assist with an excellent delivery.
Dele Alli:
Rating:8
Alli had a decent game making several runs down the left and right, with his improvisation making it tough for Manchester United defenders to deal with Tottenham’s threat.
Heung-Min Son:
Rating:7.5
Son missed a really good opportunity to extend Tottenham’s lead to two goals and was dispossessed quite easily on a number of occasions.
Harry Kane:

Kane scored the second goal for Tottenham early in the second half and worked really hard throughout the game.

Walker came after Tottenham lost Trippier to injury and did well to deal with Manchester United’s late offensive pressure.

Dembele helped Tottenham retain possession in the dying minutes of the game.
